I just got OS/2 Warp and I wanted to share my experiences with it and my
Aria16se.

First off, I new before buying it that Warp did not come with native Aria
support. I bought it anyways. I thought I would be able to use the
Future Domain TMC-950 SCSI adapter on board with my NEC 3Xi CD-ROM drive
and install Warp off of a CD-ROM. Apparently, I could not access the SCSI
adapter witout having a device driver for the Aria. BTW, there is an
driver included with Warp for both the Future Domain TMC-9C50 and TMC-95C0
(I don't know if I got those right--all I know is that there was a "C" in
the name), and the NEC 3Xi CD-ROM drive. I called IBM tech support (an
800 number that told me to call a number in Boca Raton, FL). They told me
that they would have a driver for Aria "sometime" in 1995. I couldn't
wait that long so the only thing I could do then was either return it for
the disk version or make disk images. I chose to make the disk images
because I thought I might eventually buy a dedicated SCSI adapter anyways.
I eventually got Warp to work (no CD-ROM though). One other thing, I
don't know how I did it, but I must have accidently installed the driver
for SoundBlaster and it crashed Warp. I reinstalled most of Warp again
(there may have been other ways, but I am a new OS/2 user).

Later.
