Do you mean for use with the Aria chipset or speech recognition software
using the CPU? The answer for use with Aria is AFAIK no.

Hmmm... Never had such errors... Did they originate from before or after your
workaround? BTW, what is your workaround? Should I add a section on the use
of Aria Listener to the Aria docs?

Aria Listener is the same for all soundcards based on the Aria chipset with
speech recognition capabilities. This is the one described in the LSDK.

Now that is a really difficult question. Let's put it this way. Can you easily
afford the $100 for the LSDK? If the answer is yes I would suggest buying it
as this is probably the only way to answer this question. I would suggest
programming Aria in C or C++. You don't need to buy a C compiler as you can
use DJGPP, the GNU C compiler for MS-DOS which is available via anonymous FTP.
My ariawave example is written for DJGPP. However, this is not going to be easy
so you have to be quite persistent if you want to try this. I might be
interested in supporting you, though I must warn you my time is quite
limited. Feel free to contact me to further discuss this. I would welcome
all other subscibers to this list to participate in this effort.

> 3. Are there any other/additional tools I might use?

Microsoft C might be useful (or Borland C) as the voice recognition software is
written for it. You'll probably need to get a hold of the Aria Listener source
code as described in the Aria Programmers Resource.
