                                *** SBVOL ***
SOUND BLASTER(TM) VOLUME CONTROL for Aria-based Sound Boards (v1.3)
Copyright (c) 1993 Sierra Semiconductor Corp.

This program sets the Sound Blaster digital audio and synthesizer
volume levels for Aria-based sound boards. Please note that some early
ROM versions do not support software volume control.
This program can be run just prior to executing a Sound Blaster
software application. If the sound board is switched to a different
mode of operation (such as running ARIA.DRV in Windows), the volume
  settings will be lost.

  USAGE: type - SBVOL [vol1] [vol2]

where, [vol1] is an optional parameter that specifies
the digital audio volume from 0 to 63.
[vol2] is an optional parameter that specifies
the synthesizer volume from 0 to 63.
If no command line options are given, the program will
                    prompt for each volume level.

WARNINGS: The program will issue a warning message if the BLASTER
environment variable is not set. Some software applications
require this for proper operation. To set the environment
variable, add the following to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file or
            type:
                    SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T1

where, A220 is the address port for Sound Blaster
                           I7 is the IRQ
                           D1 is the DMA channel
T1 is the version number (should be set to 1)

ERRORS: If the volume cannot be set due to an improper port address,
an error message will be displayed.
