"YAMAHA 32 plus 3D sound - DRIVERS & UTILITIES" disk, dated 24th August 1997

Uploaded by MrD, 2nd May 2013

This is an upload of the full contents of the driver CD that comes with the 'YAMAHA Audician 32 Plus', a YMF718-S based card with OPL3.

This disc contains drivers for DOS, Win 3.1, Win95, WinNT and OS/2.

This card is Adlib, SB, SB Pro and WSS compatible.

I believe these are fairly standard Yamaha drivers and may work for other YMF71x-x chips.

For highest sound quality it is recommended that you:
- disable the on-board amplifier by moving the two jumpers at JP1 to the top position. (This is labelled on the card itself as LINE OUT mode, as opposed to SPKR OUT mode.
- disable the on-board post processing enhancements. To do this, you will need to edit the OPL3SA.ini in the installation directory after you have installed the drivers. Look for the lines YMERSION=7, BASS=7, TREBLE=7. Replace these with YMERSION=0, BASS=0 and TREBLE=0.
- alter the volume settings in the SETUPSA mixer to match your audio output setup.
